I already answered that question earlier in this thread. A low temp bake won't weaken the metal, forged or otherwise, but not all places do low temp so you need to ask them up front. From what I've read, it is more significant to forged than cast/machined though.

Why would you gloss them? Powdercoating doesn't need a clear coat.

LOL. The powdercoat itself comes in gloss Mine are satin because I didn't want them shiiiiiiiinnny. But white definitely looks better in gloss.

i know i'm bumping an old thread but just in case anyone is researching the same -

spraytechnology.net is now joespowder.com. he's still running the special of $75/wheel. it includes bead blasting but price may increase a bit depending on how much work needs to be done. he has quite a selection of colors to choose from and if your center caps are plastic, can paint them for you depending on the PC color.

i'm probably going to have work done by joe in the next two weeks or so. getting the stock enkei's done in black or a dark gunmetal with a slight sheen. i'll post results once everything is said and done.

if for any reason you guys have input/info against this shop or can highly recommend another, please let me know!
