how much can i get for my wrx?

hey i have a 2005 wrx with about 67k miles, interior is great condition, exterior is good.. few small scratches and a bumper that has a chip out of it and buldges out about half a centimeter

brand new toyo proxes 4 tires, stock wheels, no mods except rear helix endlinks.

i would say 75% of miles are highway as i have driven down to san diego and back about 3 times a month while i was a surfboard shaping apprentice for about 6 months. and about 6 trips to vegas.

i am looking to sell this and buy a MY 2000 toyota 4runner and an old mid 90's impreza L as a track car i can tow with the 4runner.

thanks for any thoughts on selling price.

Personally I'd guess 15k maximum -- and maybe closer to 14k -- since that's between KBB's Good and Excellent range. Sounds like a nice car but performance cars with higher than usual mileage for the model year aren't easy to move.

ya i don't expect too high, i wanna sell it for minimum 14500
before i sell it i will have brand new conditions stock wheels, with brand new tires.
and i am going to get an amazing $150-200 detail job, inside and out.. claybar, wax, polish, shampooed interior, engine bay cleaned.

A rear bumper is $180 @ wholesale and paint is about $150. Do yourself a BIG favor and fix it before you sell it.

And the poor unsuspecting owner. IIRC I remember you hitting curbs and really putting the smack down on this car. Highway miles, lol. G'd luck with the sale!

hwy meaning.. thats the reason for most my miles.. and a constant rpm over a lot of miles is much better than constant stop and go city driving.

and i was gonna price out repairing it.

and i didn't put the smack down on this car. i hit a curb in a parking lot that was completely random and impossible to see in the rain storm that night. if you would have been there you would understand how anyone could have done it.. it was my fault for cutting through the parking space but.. when none of the other spaces in the entire lot have curbs seperating the head to head spaces you don't think theres gonna be one. and the pouring rain impaired my ability to see it.

only issues i have had with this car

blown tranny at 200 miles, after owning it for about 36 hours and putting 50 or so miles on it.. that was replaced.
slipping clutch ended up being subaru didn't put the rear axle all the way back in after replacing the whining rear differential. so it wasn't the clutch at all.
and that accident. but that wasn't a problem.
oh and a weird noise i couldn't figure out that ended up being a loose cat in the uppipe.

Well, kbb is

Excelent - 15,800
Good - 14,660
Fair - 13,115

Considering that kbb is usually an over-estimate and you have had major repairs in the past and bumper damage I would say you'd be lucky to get 13K (unless you get some rookie buyer that doesnt know how to negotiate)

FWIW I just sold my 2002 wrx wagon with 64K miles for 11,500, about $1000 under good condition.

Cars depreciate, I know...its a *****! My 2 cents.

ya oh well. that sucks. i guess i gotta just suck it up. i am not gonna be putting any miles on it in the next 8 months so hopefully the age will catch up to the mileage in that time a bit. haha.
