Car Info: 2018 Golf R Variant
My '03 WRX sedan, bought new:

-$600 Vishnu ECUtek and dyno tuning
-$800 Prodrive P1 + Yoko AVS ES100
-$12 ground cables
-$200 Porterfield R4-S pads

$1612

My '01 RS Coupe, 2nd owner:

-$1229.69 Exedy flywheel and clutch plus install
-$121 Car-Code OBD2 software
-$200 Borla header
-$271.69 Swain coating and shipping for header
-$200 Stock RS wheels (car came with WRX wheels)
-$350 225/50-16 S0-3s
-$43.18 K&N air filter
-$130 Kartboy shifter and bushings (plus $4 for the BFH to install shifter)
-$50 for oils for diff and trans

$2595.56

Not including $$ spent on maintenance and parts replacing troubleshooting the clutch install.

Next mod if I return to the Bay will be a new engine (swap) and new clutch/flywheel. Most likely struts/springs as well since they are due.

hrm. I realized early on that the wrx is good, but not the best car out there. So I decided until I went and bought a Z06 or something I would focus on only power mods. Which is a dilemna right now b/c I love my car so much and really just want to take the plunge and dump 10k at once into it!

Currently,
PDE DP - 200
ebay catback - 200
gutted uppipe - 50
vf30 - 400
STI pinks - 300
helix topmount - 550
fuel pump - 90
Falken Azenis - 250

Also but not installed,
ebay headers - 260
pe1818 - 800
ebay fmic ~500 including bunch of silicone/piping/welds

Additional misc. costs and maintence, tuning probably bring the total to ~4k

let's see at a rough estimate (I shouldn't do this I'll cry):

cage - 800 + welding costs
racing seats - about a grand for two of em
rally computer - 800 (I got the pimpin one)
intercom - 100
DMS 50mm shocks - 2500
Tein HG shocks - about 2000 i think
skidplates - 300 or so
rally wheels - couple grand (i have a lot of em)
rally tires - several thousand - let's say 4000 in tires over the life of the car
utec - 1000
txs tbe - 1000

that's 15k already and I know there's a lot more that I've spent.

Racing's not cheap.
