i'd sunk about $5k into mine.

edited for mod list in order:
Dunlop SP8000 tires - wore out after 15k miles
AEM short ram - removed shortly after
Cat Back exhaust - replaced later with TBE
Falken FK451 tires - hello another set of 15k mile tires
vf34 + uppipe - stuck with this for about a year before beginning the part out
Ecutek reflash - tuned around the vf34 with stock fuel (180whp w00t)
STi pinks + Walbro pump (don't forget a new fuel tank gasket kids)
Dyno tuning - due to the injectors and pump (190whp still on the stock DP)
Yokohama POS all season tires - that's a lot of tires for being under 40k miles...
Stromung TBE - this alone bumped me up quite a bit on powar (215whp untuned)
Dyno tuning - even more power (225whp, highest i ever got, not too shabby for a 4eat)
Rota Torques + falken azenis sports - you'd think i learned my lesson on tires?
STi hood scoop
Perrin IC hoses

shortly after all this was finally done, i started to phase the car back down to stock to get ready to trade it in. if I had to do it all over again, i would've kept the car, replaced the block with a 2.5l and went with a 16g turbo to get me the low end grunt i was after.

on second thought, i was probably closer to $7~8k in mods.
