i think marksti wins this for the most money in at least from what hes told me about it, i only have 12k into my 05 that i got in june. just finishing up getting the sti ra limited 4.44 tranny with dccd and helical front lsd.

I wish i would of just kept my car stockish just with the FP green turbo/Spear TMIC upgrade when it was runnin high 11's.
IMHO the best thing to do is set a plan of attack and stick to it..it is way to easy to let things get out of hand...and with Subarus many times one upgrade must be supported by another...(Turbo upgrade on a WRX with a clutch and a gearset or tranny change is a good example.)
