I hate driving 500 miles to visit, but i wouldnt trade it for Davis. UCSD has a very good name, havent heard AS much for Davis but i dont know.

Personally, I think Davis is a pretty nice town. Nothing to do at 2 in the morning, but yeah.

also remember that davis has cheaper housing when u get out of the dorms...La Jolla is pretty expensive. but UCSD is an awesome school. based on academics alone...SD is better than davis. but Davis has waay cooler people than SD...hahaha

Uh...if you want either, go to UCSD. UCSD kills Davis in the rankings for all subjects...Davis is a great school, my brother goes there. But if you have the option for either, UCSD is the better choice for all puposes, unless you have urgent family commitments that would keep you near Davis for some reason.

Rankings are just rankings though.

I'll give you a subject that UCSD isn't ranked higher than Davis. Viticulture and Enology.

I guess its what field you want to be in. The Medical Center and Veterinary department are far superior to other UCs
