I've had 3 tickets, none in the WRX, and that is surprising.

1 on H-2 in my protege. I'd just come to Hawaii after a few weeks flying on 70MPH interstates in the U.S. H-2 is 55mph... 78 in a 55. At least, when I fought the ticket with the "I just moved here and am in a new car, and don't know how to read speed-limit signs" defense they knocked it down from $130 to $50. $80 for a short letter!

A couple of BS tickets on uninhabited backroads.

Talking

Get yourself a V-1 and never worry about speed traps again. Go to SCCA SOLO II events to get your groove on and get it out of your system.

All good, except that V1s cost MORE than a ticket for less than 15 over.

Add in your higher insurance premiums, then tell us which costs more

One ticket for 10 over won't cost me anything.

in my camaro i had 3 speeding tickets. 2 fremont PD, 1 freeway stuff.

In the impreza i have 1 speed and 1 reckless. speed was on freeway, and the reckless was down the street from my house.

The camaro wins, but I had it for 4 years, and was young and foolish. Now I'm just foolish.

Never got a speeding ticket before in the subee but just last night got a fix-it ticket for my exhaust. If anyone had a fix-it ticket before, how do you get it cleared? After you get it fixed and show it to the police, is it completely erased from your record? Does it show up on your insurance? And what happens if I get another fix it ticket for the same thing, will I have a double penalty??

You can put the same exhaust back on after getting signed off, but you will keep getting tickets for it whenever a cop notices you. No increase in fines, just a continual pain in your ***.

No tickets yet but I really don't drive fast, I just pass fast.

I was flashed, with the spotlight, by a CHP who didn't like the way I took off from stop lights in UC.

Today a cop in the low profile Camaro tried to get my attention on the freeway but I wasn't biting, just put cruise control on 68 and drove like that for 25-30 mins while he was on my left speeding up and slowing down....this was entertaining.

so far so good, but I haven't gotten a speeding ticket in more than 10 years.

I've gotten all kinds of tickets over the years. Failure to stop completely was the first. Then going over a double yellow line while cutting a sharp corner doing about 50mph. was the second. Luckily for me the area doesn't have a posted speed limit. Shortly after the speeding tickets began. Somehow for years i went without one in California. I only ever got them out of state were i wasn't sure about the cops placements and habits.
First one was in AZ. on my way to Santa Fe NM. Driving a Toyoya Avalon i had rented for the trip. I had been driving for 13hrs strait and was running a high fever. (I was sick as a dog) Anyways the cop caught me doing 95mph in a 70mph zone. Luckily for me it was in some heavy traffic. Because two minutes earlier i was doing 125.
The next was in Maine. My wife and i were taking a trip back east and had rented Volvo v70 sedan. The best rentel car i've ever been in. Well once again i had been driving for over ten hours and just wanted to get to our destination. Little did i know there was a large concert event happening up the highway in the next town. A "Phish" concert at that. So there were all types of drinking and drug taking going on. I couldn't of had worst timing. We were being followed and heckled by a bunch of drunks hanging out their car windows trying to bass beers to our car so i desided to floor it. Bam!!! 85mph ticket in a 65zone. Considering each trip was over 3000 miles with me speeding the entire time, thats not bad.
Years went by till i got the next. 71mph in a 55/ 40mph in a 25. Among a few others.
I've never had more then three on my record at a time. and never lost my licence for doing something stupid. can't say my insurance loves me though.

first tix ever was during halftime super bowl a few years ago. pizza run. 45 in a 30.

u-turn on a no u-turn. funny thing is that i was in newark and my cousin was a cop in newark at the time. guess who caught me? chp...

then a few years ago, while driving my truck down I-5 to go 4 wheeling, i exited on an exit where a mile down was a chp station. i pulled into a gas station to change cd magazine for my changer. right behind me was a chp car. lucky he didnt have his gun pulled out... he asked if i needed to go to the bathroom. then proceeded to give me a tix for not stopping at the end of the off ramp. lucky me... i had been going over 85 just before...
