How to learn Photoshop

So I finally lost my copy of my trusty and easy to use Microsoft Image Composer 1.5. It was like 8 years old, but worked great and did what I wanted it to do. So now I am forced to use the all mighty Photoshop. I got a copy of 9.0 CS2 and I have no clue how to use it. I mean I can do basic stuff, but what is the best, fastest and easiest way to learn this awesome but complicated peice of software.

both have great tutorials on them

the tutorials show you how to do a specific thing...but the steps and the outcome from each step is what you wanna study.

As with anything, it's all trial and error.

Classroom in a book that Adobe sells is probably your best bet, Alex.
