Also, she makes good use out of AWD. Many times it's very hard to find a parking spot near her evening jazz class. So, she parks on a steep hill (off road) next to the class. Usually, next to a big 4X4 truck. She told me a civic tried to copy her and ended up sliding/reversing back down to pavement area. I love it when she parks like that next to big trucks.

Well when I was shopping for my car. I found a black one 04 WRX and my parents completely hated it...then I found the WRB and they completely loved it..same exact model just with a different color! I was just speechless and laughed all the way home after the purchase.

hi el heffe, not all of us are spoiled. Some of us work to pay our own bills, and support our mom and grandma. No one pays for anything of mine. I have taken care of myself as much as I could since I was about 14. However if you would like to get me a STI I would not complain.

word.

My first car was when I was damn near 20 and it was an 11 year old ford ranger. And I LOVED it.

As for what my parents think about my car. Probably think I'm nuts for modifying it and are surprised that I'm catching up miles wise to their 14 year old suburban. Beyond that I have no clue.

the only thing my dad didnt like about my wrx is that he couldnt burn out.. haha... well he's the stereotypical old filipino into old school toyotas, we had more celicas and corollas than i can count... he doesnt mod anything now, and when he asks why i spend so much on my cars, i tell him "it's your fault" then when im done changing something, he always ask to drive it

oh and he doesnt help anything either.. when i though my stock turbo was going out, i asked him, do you think this is going bad.. he just shrugs and says "i dont know" he was a turbine specialist for 10+ years

as far as what my parents think of my car, my mom loved my car, she had a integra that she loved tooling around in and taking the on ramps to the freeway at a decent rate of speed. She drove my car on numerous ocasions and loved it. People would give her weird looks cause she was driving a red wagon with gold rims. She liked that it was fast and had power to pass people when she needed to. When she was in the car with me during rush hour I would get over towards the carpool lane and when I found a opening I would stomp on it and she got a kick out of that. She liked that it took corners well and the fact that it has good crash test ratings. My dad is a car nut also and has had many muscle cars and some british go fast cars. I took him for a ride in my car and i kinda scared him a little bit. I think it was mainly due to the fact that he was not the one driving.

My parents were "disappointed" when I got my Subaru. But they live in Michigan and have never seen it. I guarentee they'll freak out if they ever ride in it.
