Im broke so I use a spare jack to jack it up a bit then when theres enough room I use the regular floor jack =P

A lift is great idea in a garage, you can park two cars

if you only have a 1 car garage, of course, provide the height clears.

I use a floor jack with a pinch weld adapter from eastwood.

Damn, i had this idea back in 95 to try to patent a product like this. For anyone who likes this idea (the adapter)....I went to the junk yard, bought an OEM toyota scissor jack for $5, then cut out the part that goes into the pinch weld/jacking point (including about 4 inches of the scissor jack on both sides. I drop that into the floor jack plate and I can lift the car easily and safely with the floor jack. Really easy to do and cheap.
