I am swapping trunks and want to take off the center subaru badge. I know it is bolted in but what tools do i need to take this off? I am having trouble with this. Thanks

It's not bolted in it's just glued on but don't take it off as there's a hole behind it.

Its actually not bolted on from the factory. There are two short "posts" that center the badge, but no type of locking mech. behind it. All you need is floss and a hairdryer.

Heat up the badge and use the floss in a saw-like manner to seperate the adhesive on the back of the badge. Simple process heres a link

If you want, you can visit Fremont and I can help you do it.

A heat gun instead of a hairdryer makes the process much faster but you will have two holes in your trunk which is no good unless you want to cover them somehow.

The thing about a heat gun is that someone can easily overheat the surrounding paint.

i think he wants to keep his original badge cus we painted it cherry blossom red So if i am reading it right he wants to keep his original badge and give the guy back his own badge after the trunk swap.
