How depressing... fat boy!

So I was talking to my little brother last night about weight. The ****er quits drinking and drops like 20 pounds in a week and a half. I loose like 3 pounds. Bah.

anyways. Right now he's right around 190 pounds at 6 foot tall. I'm pushing 240 at 5'10+. When we were seniors in high school... he weighed 180 and I weighed 168.

I didn't realize that he was bigger than I was at an equal age. Nuts.

I gotta get my *** in shape. Good weight for me is right around 200 pounds. I'm actually somewhat fit for a fat dude but I need to drop the weight for the sake of my feet and knees and because I'm vein and I look better at 200 than I do at 240. haaaaa.

I was like... son of a *****. I didn't realize how much I put on since highschool. Stupid desk job. He's lucky in that he moves around and is constantly lifting stuff at his job otherwise I'd be he'd be more like 220 or 230 the way he was drinking.

Bah... the real reason to drop a good 20 by new years is so I can kick his *** on the slopes.

There's your motivation right there. Get in shape to show him up.

You should change your screen name to "OneManNationalGuard" until you slim down.

I stopped soda cold turkey and drank nothing but water and 20 lbs came off overnight.

Yeah I'm basically cutting out all soda, alcohol, high fructose, and bread. Going back to my protein shakes in the morning and bowflex a few times a week.

I did that for like 6 weeks before my wedding and dropped 30 pounds. Need to keep it up this time around.

Me and my little brother go pretty much toe to toe on snowboards but he's got one up on me with carrying less weight. I keep telling him that if I weighed less I could still smash him. Need to reestablish my dominance!!!!

Little bastard is talking mad isht the last couple years even though I still think I through down crazier lines. haaaa. I keep telling him.. hey.. you've been riding behind me for 15 years... you'll never ride in front of me unless I let you. haaaaa

I'm drinking a lot more diet these days, but i need to bit the bullet and drink MUCH more water.

issue is I stil like to drink juices... but they are sugar devil.

I'm in the same boat as you Ray, after HS, the desk and lack of exercise has made me fat. I'm at 245, I don't look it, but I am, and If I was 200lbs, I'd be in pretty good shape. I'm still faily health, no colesterol, HBP or blood sugar issues, but it's only a matter of time.

I'm going to start walking during lunch and drop the sugar drinks. Big thing is to fine time to work out. Need to hit the weights and do cardio. I was doing great the beginning of the year but after the bee sting reaction i was out of the gym and off the road bike for 3 weeks, and then the wedding, and ****, all down hill from there!

Well you don't have to cut alcohol out of the picture entirely - if you look at its nutritional value it alone doesn't pork you up - its what you eat WHILE intoxicated (Jack in the Box...greasy foods etc) that makes you gain the weight.

If you have a dog - thats good for an easy 10lbs a week if you run with them. When we got our GSD I shed a lot of weight.

If you didn't already know - the words '100% Fruit Juice' means NOTHING.

Fiber is the key. Need to have lots of it. It really changes the way the body works and metabolizes.
