How About Hood Struts ?

Does anybody sell a kit to get rid of the hood prop? I bought a kit from Nuespeed for my VW and it was great. I think I have seen a WRX with aftermarket hood struts but don't remember who, I thought it might have been Vivid Racings WRX but I'm not sure. Anyway, I did several searches that turned up nadda. Any help would be appreciated.

Scott

Doh! I toyed with the idea of adapting hood struts but for that much hay I'll stay cheapie and stick with econobox prop rod.

I wonder if OEM-type replacements for other cars can be adapted for under $50?

I have these: http://www.fastwrx.com/provhoodstru.html
Pain in the @ss to close a carbon fiber hood though, they work a little too good. I have to lean over the fender from the side of the car and push down on the middle of the hood, if I try to close it normally the hood starts to bend. Other than that they're really nice, surprises people when they open my hood and it shoots up.

I just took a look at your link. Maybe you should have mounted it a little closer to the center of the hood and a little closer to the firewall...
