someone posted a comment on that mercury news page saying they should open a sanctioned track/strip there at the fairgrounds.
Not a bad idea unless you plan on driving your personal/race vehicle to and from cuz then theyd get a lot of cop attention.
They do need SOME sort of strip around here tho. Closest is...Sacramento? i forgot

SJ is just killing it for car enthusiasts. I have a pucker factor of 10 anytime I'm driving anywhere near that place.

Oh ya I heard the whole thing go down. Was outside smoking a cig was around 2 hella sirens and heard cars making a run for it then a cruiser jammed past my house

Jeez that place is still popping? Old Habits die hard....way back in the day there used to be crazy crowds and so forth. Tough luck for the ones that got caught. But all honesty, street racing is NOT the way to go. It can cost lives, jail time and a fat load of dead presidents that could have been used to build a motor or that new turbo upgrade you've always wanted.
