Wow... what a joke. A dozen police officers. ~200 cars. 4 citations... WTF? Tax payer's money going down the drain

Yet another reason why I don't like going to the south bay. Straight up "no fly zone".
Went to my buddy's house off Coleman on Sat nite to see De La Hoya get pwn'd by Pacquiao. I even tempted fate and went to Wing Stop for the party food.
I told my friends in their VW's/Audi's to be cautious making their way back to the freeway. Sure enough, we did the speed limit on Coleman since there was 2 cruisers doing runs between the offramp & the bridge. I, as a responsible Subaru driver, stuck to cruise control. Don't even know why people street race anymore to be honest.

Police broke up a large crowd of at least 200 people early this morning that had gathered in South San Jose to watch illegal street racing.
About 200 vehicles were lined up along Bailey Road, near Santa Teresa Boulevard, when more than a dozen San Jose police and California Highway Patrol officers descended on the gathering around 1:30 a.m. Police issued four citations, according to officer Jermaine Thomas, a San Jose police spokesman. Police made no arrests.
Thomas said the long stretch of Bailey Road that comes down from the hill to the light at Santa Teresa is popular for street racing.
Typically, anyone caught racing will be cited and have their vehicle towed, according to Thomas. Police may also issue citations for violation of emissions codes.
