Lol, I just tried to pass with my RS*R tbe and silencer and it registered at like 97 dB at the quietest. I just threw the entire stock tbe on so I knew I would pass because I procrastinated and had court the next day

Where did you get the testing done at? How much did it cost you?

I wonder if my exhaust would pass. It would be pretty nice to know.

you need to have a fix it ticket code 27150(Loud exhaust) and 27151(Modified exhaust) either one for you to get it tested for dB otherwise they wont check it i think and its free it didnt cost me anything to get mine check.

I didnt care because I passed anyways
No, halfway to redline.

The dB meter is suppose to be 18 inches from the exhaust tip at an angle. Rev up to 4500 and u get your result.

Also to note is that it's better if you're at a quiet location because other noises will affect the reading.

If u got a loud exhaust ticket and pass the dB test, it's free the first time or something. Otherwise if u don't pass, it's $20 (this was 4 years ago btw) and I think u have one more chance to pass otherwise you'll be fined or something. I could be wrong on the last part, so best to ask the state ref guys to be clear.

And I went to Skyline College to get my car tested. They were cool there. But like I said, this was almost 4 years ago so things may have changed.
