Just don't criticize or make a complaint about the specialist shops and vendors. You'll get flamed by their fan boys.

What he means by this is that if you have a problem with one of the local shops or vendors, the first thing you should do is take it up with them and allow them to rectify the situation, you'll find that just about all of them will stand by their work and bend over backwards to make the situation right.

What pisses people off is when people start a thread flaming a reputable shop, without first taking the matter up with the shop, and also providing only half the story to make the shop look bad.

The reveiw section is a great place to start when looking for a shop or vendor.

Do you mean the one we had at SF Presido? I still have few pics of that meet. Where you and I were standing ALL THE WAY IN THE BACK... In fact, I still have the Drive magazine where our photos made it in.

Same here. A few years ago before I bought my WRX I searched the web for a Subaru club and the first to pop up was NASIOC. Once I bought my WRX I bought some better tires off of a member over there (don't remember his name) and he told me about i-Club. I've never posted there since. I go there occasionally, usually from a link here in i-Club complaining about a specific thread over there, but I haven't posted there, or been actively reading since 2003.

I only use NASIOC for OT. Wish the i-club had an OT forum like NASIOC, but it doesn't, and I can't make it happen. So let it be.
