class of 2001 here, my cars in high school:
11th grade- 82 Dodge Omni (till the tranny blew up, reverse donuts ftw)
12th grade- 88 Ford Ranger (paid $1200 for it and still have it)
yeah, i wasn't getting no love from the ladies!

i appreciate that some of you high school guys pay for your own car.
But i think its WAY to much of a car for a high-school kid to be jumping into.
At 17 i had a 330HP integra, that could light-em-up on the freeway.....
Looking back, i wish i had a stock civic hatchback or the like.
