Yea 7th street is no longer going down, time to time you will find some 16 sec hondas racing there or swangstars making it even more hot. The runs died there a couple years ago after all the car jackings, deaths and accidents. They used to be hella fat but got to the point there was block ins where they pop hoods, check i.d and registration give ref tickets or tow cars.

With summer here, lots of folks will be attending street races like these all over the Bay Area. I used to go to these things over a decade ago when I was much younger and dumber.

A word of advice: It's not worth it, take it to the track!

Don't end up like these guys:

OAKLAND / 2 killed watching street races

OAKLAND /2 motorcyclists killed in crash near port

The Quick and the Dead

Lots more stories like these, especially from Oakland.

By Touge, I hope you mean track. If this thread has taught us anything it's that street racing is for idiots.

It's funny.. A lot of guys I see out in the streets racing never even go to the track..
They quickly learn how poorly they spent 5k in parts just to get beat by someone else who did it better.
I was driving down Sunrise a few nights ago and some Prelude kept revving at me and I was just like ladidadida down the street with my girlfriend and some Integra pulled up next to him and we watched them run from a red light.. RIGHT in front of the Sunrise mall too like where Chipotle is...
I thought it was entertaining because all you heard was tires squealing and 2 cars hardly moving but making tons of raspy noise...
So dumb.

As long as its done in the middle of nowhere (no people, cars, neighborhoods, etc) I don't really see the big deal about street racing.
