Man this is weak. It won't start download because I don't have enuogh space. Like it thinks it can d/l a 1.4 gig file right away.

um the way torrents work is that it takes the entire file size and puts it on your disk as empty space. Then it down loads parts of the file from differnet hosts at the same time. So if you do not have enought space on your disk for the entire file off the bat it will not download.

and bemani, you are sort of right. Dude made the change in 3.3 that the files will dynamicaly grow, but many 3rd party clients have not or will not add that change. As it is a bit foolish, if you dont have the space forthe file in the first place you have no buisness dling it. (broken video files suck ***, same goes for other formats as well).

and yes i was being a smart *** with the pics and what have you.

So for the record you are right as am i. All depends on what client your using.

New in 3.3:

* Files now only get allocated as they're downloaded and don't fragment the hard drive

I'm using torrent storm, it doesn't have any problem with space allocation.

I like to burn while downloading, its a race to free up disk space
