cables fit many different sizes, just need to check the box to see what they fit.

Be careful if you put chains on these tires - the Owner's Manual says not to use chains on the optional factory 17-inch wheels and tires on a WRX. Check for interference at full lock...

I have a set of cables that will fit your wheels/tires. Just give me a call at my cell phone, (510) 205-3816. I'll be home all day.

I read that too. I'm heading up to Tahoe on the 30th and heard some places on 80 and 50, at one point, required 4WD and chains! My wife has chains that will fit my UK17s and Pzero Nero 215/45R17 M+S tires, but after reading that warning in the manual...I'm thinking maybe tire cables would have less slop. I don't want to destroy my fenders.

Anyone know where to get some pretty cheap locally (San Jose area)?

Thanks!

Rob

Thumbs up

Thanks guys...I appreciate all the help. I swung by Pep Boys after work. They had some SSC tire cables for $38 (but none in stock by my house). So I went to Kragen and got some LaClede tire cables for $34.99. I'll feel more comfortable going to Tahoe now on Friday!

I test fit them when I got home and they fit great and are easy to put on...hope this helps anyone else out who needs a set of tire cables for the snow.

Most they'll ever do is ask if you are carrying them. Drive slow and safe and keep plenty of room in front of you.

ya i've driven in the worst snow storms, and never been asked to put chains on. if they do just tell them you car is full time AWD. they can't make you put chains on as long as you got all season tires or winter tires on. they'd close down the freeway before that
