yes I got tagged for front tinted windows. CHP officer must have been looking for a quick hit I thought it was like $70. Paid it and moved on. Eventually I removed my front tint. I had it done profesionally.

Cheers

[QUOTE=Nose Nuggets]sorry to hi-jack this thread. but do yall know any good places in the SJ area (im in Monterey) that do good tint jobs? and a estimated $? thanks.

I recently went to TGC Window Tinting on S. Rodeo Gulch in Santa Cruz, got all five windows done, 35% Formula One on the rears and 40% Huper Optik on the fronts....Kinda pricey, 350 for all of it, but they did a super nice job, lifetime warranty. I was clueless about tints when I went in (and probably still am lol), but they explained all the options and the pros/cons of each tint type/material etc

what % was your tint?

i am thinking about 15% on my rear and front 2 windows.. shouldnt be too bad.

it really depends on the cop if he has a thing for tinted windows or doesnt like the car your driving he is going to ticket you. CHP hates tint because when they pull you over they cant see you if the windows are up specially at night.
they get scared your gonna shoot them
