I'd suggest you get the entire line replaced, it'll be cheaper. A welder capable of doing thinwall aluminum high pressure line isn't EVER going to perform that operation with any residual oils/ freon in the tube, and to properly clean them out would involve removing the entire assembly, so at that point why spend bank to have someone weld this one when you can get a new one for 180 from the dealer? It'd be even cheaper from a yard. goodluck!

Hopefully you fix this asap. It's gonna be HOT HOT HOT in the valley this weekend.

If you can't JB weld it, take it to any metal/machining/fab/muffler shop and ask if they can weld it for you?

I just got my BOV welded onto my aluminum intercooler charge pipe at a shop in Milpitas. Thing is, they charge minimum 1 hour labor on everything they touch even if it doesn't take that long. It's $75 an hour. Someone up there said a new one would cost 180? Up to you, following below is the information with the shop; good luck with everything, whichever route you decide to take.

Nichols Manufacturing
913 Hanson Court
Milpitas, CA 95035

(408) 945-0911

there's a motorcycle shop there also so make sure you are talking to the right side.

search nasioc, there was a full write up for this exact problem. They had a new aluminum line made and had it replaced. the new piece ran along side the tmic so it wouldnt rub anymore and coated it with foam sleeve and padding.

NVM, found it here on i-club
