yah I've been in a WRX with a pe1818 and I almost pissed in my pants. Good I love it. But the pe1818 isnt a cheap turbo. I seen gruppe-s selling it for $1395 so that puts me with $700 left. I can prolly get some injectors a fuel pump but that means I can;t afford a utec. Without Engine management I think my car will be highly detuned and prolly will run like S**** Man $2100 isnt enough for anything lol. Anyone selling a used Pe1818 or a utec for an 03'?

save a little more money to get what you need instead of taking shortcuts. You can buy the PE1818 or 1820 + injectors and pump. Save the rest of your money and get an EMS.

Dont install the stuff untill you have an EMS.

How does the PE1818 spool as compared with certain IHI turbo's (VF30, VF22)?

VF-30 is a sleeve bearing turbo
VF-34 is a roller ball bearing turbo verson of the 30

I say you should take the money you got and invest in:

Suspension, Wheels and Tires.

oh, and by the way, RE92 DO come into question when braking. It's your tires that make contact to the road. On that note, You don't need 4 pots or anyhting like that unless you go to the race track, and i'm NOT talking drag here. Even then, you would get by for a while on stock setup. For much better braking, trust me on this one, get DOT 4 fluid, Stainless lines, and good pads all around.

Now, i suggest you visit www.subydude.com and check out his Rota wheel line up. They are cheap, and you can get tires and have them mounted and balanced at www.autoinnovations.com, ask for Steve Lo when you call them, and talk to him.

Wheels, and Tires are probably the most important thing you can do with your car. I suggest you follow that first. Example would be wheels and a set of YoKo ES100s for them. This would run you 1100 TOTAL. Now you have $1000 to play with.

Want power? Buy a Utec now, and have while you upgrade so you can tune while you go. Not into tuning? Bill (Skywalker) from www.i-speedusa.com can tune that puppy no problem. with your current setup, i can see you running about 40-50 more HP once your car is tuned. 30 more wheel HP is just from pluggin the damn thing in!

smart, and efficent steps when modding. Get your money's worth, and have fun at it.

It starts later in the rev range, and takes longer than stock, that's for sure... starts spooling at about 3800RPM?

Orlando?

3800 RPM is about right. But once it hits, it hits hard!
