Exclamation --->Help installing STi E-brake on '03 WRX***

Hey guys,

Does anyone know how this is done? I've never even removed the plastic housing around e-brake before...

I'll be going to the Hayward meet tonight... Could anyone help me install it there?

Thanks in Advance!

I'm not sure what exactly it is that you're doing. Maybe post some pics?

If it's just the e-brake handle, it's pretty cut and dry. Real easy work. Should only take a few minutes.

You need to search for these threads, theres already DIY's for things like this. If you are thinking of doing it, chances are someone has already done it........ and posted how to do it online. Do searches before you start threads.

If you can't find the answer here, then search on google and it'll tie you to other subaru forums.

the meet is not in hayward. its in fremont. Also as far as the sti handle goes, 04 has the handle on the right side of the center console while 05+ has the sti handle on the left side of the center console. The plastic trim that you currently have should pop right up if you pull around the edges near the parking brake handle.

I use these for plastic panels, they rock.

CRL windshield sticks, you can get a pack of 5 for like $10.

It's an 05+ handle... that means it's going to look weird but i think i still want to go ahead with it! Apparently, I need a 10'' socket and I can get the job done!

how are you going to fit an 05+ handle on a MY03? mounting points will be the same but the plastic trim wont cover it anymore cause its on the wrong side
