Help- How to I report an ebay fraud scam?

So, I get this email with this link that takes me to a FAKE login: (DO NOT ENTER YOUR EBAY INFO THERE...USE FAKE INFO TO SEE WHERE IT TAKES YOU)

http://61.11.97.207/alfa/eBayISAPI.p...ad=b&box=Trash

How do I report this? It came in an email telling me my account was hacked.

Usually it is a good idea to report it to ebay. Also, if you can track down the isp it originated from (Sam Spade is your friend!), you should send a copy of the email to postmaster@ .

whee.. more phishing scams.

I just got played on ebay for a JL Audio amp. Turns out the seller had previously won on ebay for an amp that didn't work. The guy just recycled the pictures from the old auction even. In hindsight:
1. Go through Paypal only.
2. Check the seller's feedback, plus any feedback left for others.

You should report this to Ebay. They will look into your case or any fraud. If caught, they will also sue.

yes, as long as there is a trail of some sort, you can recover your money. Both Ebay and Paypal have fraud divisions to do this.

Thing is, I did pay via Paypal but for some reason the seller couldn't cash the money. So he credited me back and asked for a check.

you sent a check?

did you put a stop payment on it?

uhm... dood.. once you send a check, it's much harder to get that money back. Stick to paypal. The "couldn't cash the money" this is total and utter bull. There should be NO reason a legit paypal account can't be withdrawn from. That should have been your first sign. Hope ebay can get your money back.
