The same thing happened with this guy on another hs soccer team. He was a french man that didn't wash himself. Finally after a playing against him for a few years, my coach finally told his coach and I guess he did it on purpose to keep us away from him. I say you throw him in back of a pick up truck and tie him down and take him to a car wash!

If he's on the track team, then it's probably medical not bacterialogical.
There is nothing he can do, and IMHO, the recommendations here seem rude at best.
Think about this, if it bothers you this much, how is he ever gonna find a partner or even a friend?

If actually has a medical condition, apologize and go about your business. Sometimes you have to be up front to get someone to confront their ways if they actually are a dirty person. No need to dance around the subject, if he stinks, he stinks. It is making everyone's life miserable, so someone needs to raise the flag.
