Exclamation HELP! Dead Suby

My 04 STi is dead this morning. When I started the car the check engine light came on and the cruise control light was flashing.

I drove to work but the car had NO power. It sounded weird to. I can barely drive it above 45 mph.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

It sounded rough, like an early 80's boxer engine. No mods at all. Completely stock.

No boost what so ever.

If it's totally stock and within warrenty, I'd take it to the dealer. It might be a lemon...or maybe it's a simple as a loose or leaking hose somewhere. But since you're stock, I'd let the dealer try and sort it out.

I thought about that. My car has 49k miles and Carlson charges me $130 just to diagnose it. And I'm affraid to drive it so I need to get it tolled for ~20 miles and that's big $$$.

I see...well then I'd look into borrowing a OBD-II meter from someone. You can buy them (search on google) but I'm pretty sure they're not worth it unless you do a lot of work on your car. So maybe start a thread in BAIC asking if anyone has one you could use for a 6-pack or something? Good luck figuring out what's wrong.

The other thing is to just open the hood and see if anything is noticably out of place (like a hose leading to nowhere). You prolly already did that though...

probably a hose popped of somewhere, first take a look under the hood to see if anything looks out of place. Then limp to the dealership.

That was my guess too, but since it's unmodified....

Back to original prob: Check to see if your ic hose is completely attached. Maybe you blew the hose/seal off?

Auto Zone either will let you use one, or they told me to buy one, use it, and return it.

Car Info: I got a couple :)
I bet the intake to turbo inlet accordion hose came loose/off !

Take the neg. battery off and back on see if that clears the issue/limp mode etc..

If all is okay and still limping, go buy one from Auto Zone and return same day (10 minutes to open connect read back in the store) just to read it. Like STi-owns-Evo said.

I remember when I first installed my BOV i didn't sent the spring and it remained open.. then my car keep on stalling.. and doens't run I was going to get it tolled to MPJ back then.. but then I figured it out.. saved me alot of money for something that was really nothing
