so i lost my remote and key some months ago and recently i got a coulpe of new remotes for my 05 wrx, ive followed the instructions of programming over and over and i can never get the horn to sound after i do the 10 key turns, i followed these steps:

1) disconnect battery for 10 seconds, plug back in.
2) open car door, sit down, close car door.
3) put key in ignition
4) toggle key between LOCK and ON 10 times in 15 seconds
5) leave key in LOCK position
6) car will honk at you ONCE [b]<-------------I never get this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![b]
7) open and close car door within 45 seconds
hit any button on your remote, horn will honk TWICE

could this be becasue my car has the subaru genuine alarm system installed on it? becasue when i open the doors the little alarm light keeps blinking untill i turn the key to On

Someone help me cuz this is pissing me off!!!!

 

How do you put the key in the ignition outside of the car? through your window?
Are you sure you are going between lock and ON?
2) open car door, sit down, close car door.
3) put key in ignition

 

obviously i put the key in after i sit down and close the door, i followed all the rules, it just doesnt freakn work
