Hello all.
Hey everybody,
I've been lurking for a few weeks, getting aclimated. But I figure you have gotta start posting sometime. sooooo.
Just wanted to say hi. Got my wrx in Jan. very happy with it. Just put a set of rota formels and did the 3/16" mod and intake silencer removal. The car sounds nice so far. I'm a little nervous about any serious modifications, the car is so new and shiny. Plus I had a1968 Chevy Corvair (me and flat engines I don't know) before the WRX and could rip out whatever I wanted, now with emissions.....

RE the 3/16 mod, have you noticed any boost spikes??
oh and i just noticed your from SC.. cool, there are supposedly meets every once in a while down here in SC, but i dunno, we'll have to talk to iBluevirus..
we should go on a sprint down hwy 9 sometime..

Don't mod the WRX! It is like smack! You will want to keep getting you fix of mods, and before you know it, you are going to be on the streets!

wellcome to to the party!.. I did the 3/16 mod too and yes it does flutter around the peak boost mark because the wastegate is responding faster to over boost and reacts quicker... So I've been told... All I know is that the guy who designed the thing knows more about it than I do to figure a way to smooth boost out at the top with a tiny little restrictor! It does spool up a little faster though and peaks a hair higher.

I haven't noticed any flutter. But spool up is a bit quicker.
I think I will focus on getting the current power of the car to the road better. Swaybar, endlinks etc....

Ain't that the truth. congrats though! enjoy the board/meets and be prepared to be broke because it all starts with th 3/16" mod...
