I'm just wondering if anyone here has taken the hellfire challenge at SmokeEaters?
All you have to do is eat 12 hot wings in 10 minutes and you win a free t shirt and a picture on the wall/
here is a link explaining the rules of the challenge

Do you dare ? before you take the challenge you have to sign a waver. lol

and

I took the challenge at the Alameda location.

ahh.. yes tis the classic 911 challenge....
no kind sir. i am not brave enough nor am i capable of eating such hellish concoctions. i can barely scarf the nuclear level wingers... i tried thermo nuclears once and i cried from the pain and anguish.... never again am i going above atomic level. if you try it i pray for your stomach and butt the next morning.
btw.. go check out adam's picture (the dude from man vs. food) if ever you're at the santa clara location.

I did take the challenge. i took it about 2 hours ago at the Santa Clara location.
I heard about when adam from man vs food doing it. but i didnt see his picture on the wall. i guess I didnt look hard enough. anyways I will probably head back there on monday to get my free shirt (they only had size med and i need a large)
I guess my picture will be right up there with Adams.

It's definitely not overhyped. It is as hard as you hear about and it is as hard as it looks. My hands burned the next day when I was at work. However, you are right about the sauce not having a flavor. It's like eating chicken with a mushy coating.

my friend did that at University Chicken (formerly Cluck-U Chicken) over in Santa Clara back in the day. He described it as how tobasco tastes...if it were pouring on your eyeballs. also i believe you weren't allowed to drink anything 1 minute before or after the challenge to successfully complete it. I'm never trying it lol
