I think Henry at Mach III is running 18x10 +25 and 265 tires on stock fenders.

But I guess it is kinda wide.

235's on 9 inch rims? You can do that on 7.5 inch rims or 8 inch rims. Put some 265's on there. I could care less how big your rims are....tires man...tires.

That's like telling your lady... look how big my ***** are.

+1

I guess I'm a hater too

its not just offset

If you went low offset to concave a 18x8 or 18x7.5 wheel you'd have sh*t for brake caliper clearance...no way it would clear calipers.

if you had a, for example a normal 7" wide rim with 1000 offset where the wheels are sticking out 5 feet from the car, the calipers could be as big as they wanted too be.

more concave would mean the spokes are farther away from the caliper, unlike a stock offset wheel where the spokes are flush against the caliper. never thought i would question your wheel knowledge so i have a feeling i'm wrong.

no, because a high offset wheel is closer to the caliper than a low offset wheel

Of course if you went with a really low offset on an 18x7 wheel you could alter the face to a certain extent, but to get the same face as the 18x9 has you'd be talking about negative offsets....to make up for that 2" difference you are talking about a 25mm difference, so you'd need like a 5mm offset on that 18x7 wheel to have the concave face of that 18x9

good luck

btw, concavity does NOT put the wheel further away from the caliper:

18x8.5 Torques - non concave
18x8.5 +25mm offset:

18x9.5 Torques - concaved spokes
18x9.5 +28mm offset:

The NON-Concave wheel has WAY more brake clearance...the 8.5 non concave clears brembos on an evo...the 9.5 concave setup does NOT clear brembos on evos

so this -1000 offset wheel wouldn't clear Brembos? it sure looks like it would.

i thought offset was a linear formula from 50 all the way to 0 as in anything 50 or less will clear, anything with 30 or less will clear etc...you never hear "these brakes work with offsets 30-50...a 29 wont clear it. nor will a -1000 offset."
