hella and hecka

man i never heard those words used so much until i went up to the bay area this past weekend. it was like a virus i caught myself saying them sometime. it got annoying.

thats like so like, annoying, like, I cant stand when like people like keep saying the same like word over and like over again.

SoCal isn't free from the plague of annoying phrases (freeways are not the's either) hehehe

we dont say like anymore

I have a coworker that's from the bay area, I've never heard him use any of those words. So I asked him why he doesn't use those words. He then told me that he doesn't use them because there are other words to use, such as 'really', 'so' and other adjectives.

my girlfriend lived in the bay area and those words stuck on her when she lived up there. i would here her say them once in awhile when she moved back down here but she hasnt said them in a long time.
