btw, i don't think i need to mention this, but i actually did hear of someone trying to do it, so......
DO NOT use a microwave oven. if you have to ask why, then i guess you'll just have to learn the hard way. (please don't)

I have done it to an 02 and my 06. it is the same with any of them.
#1 you can bake it with light bulbs and wires in the lights. no need to take that out. Think of how hot your light bulbs get.
#2 When you are pulling the lights apart be quick but careful. a pair of snow board gloves or even a baking mit works well.
Get 2 flat tipped screw drivers that works best for those little tabs.
#3 as you pull apart you will see the glue get stringy. use a old pen or plastic knife/fork/spoon to keep the glue from getting inside the light.
#4 do your paint/clearing whatever you wanna do.
#5 add some new rtv sealant or similar a small consistant bead will do. push together your lights as best as you can and then rebake for another 5 mins.
#6 Now really push them together hard cuz if you dont you will get condensation and water inside and that is no bueno.
#7 stand back and enjoy.

Tip: if you are painting the inside i foudn that fusion paint by krylon works best. i have had the 02 and 06 done for about 6 months now and have had no problems.
good luck

I've helped Dynakuns do his headlights along with couple of my other friends, I personally only used the oven.
I can help out if your planning on using an oven, but I personally would like to see someone use the heatgun and see if its alot more efficient.
I would also recommend a fine grit sand paper for sanding the headlight housing to prep it for the paint. And if anyone is planning on installing the Angel Eye setup, be sure to get your wiring and mounting because my friends kit didnt come with any of it.
