I've been looking into getting a TV as well and I think I might just pick a Vizio in my future.

I would like to go with a Vizio, but in the size of TV I need, there is not a price point I am comfortable with

I'm really leaning towards the Samsung. My tv right now is a samsung 32" lcd only 720p and i really like it. When i go to the stores i feel like Samsung color quality is better than other brands. The 6300 is priced pretty fairly as well.

What size are you looking at getting? I haven't compared brand for brand yet for the size I want.

Wow, a lot larger TV than what I am looking for. I think I might get a 42in or 46in. Not exactly sure. Anyways, good luck on your TV search! Hope that Sharp does you good!

Thanks for the input everyone!! I ended up going with the Samsung. I got a 40" 6300 series. Just got it all hooked up and I love it! picture quality is good on both TV and Xbox. I am very happy with the purchase.

Also, do you know how long the Sony KDL46EX621 will be on sale for (46 LED LCD)? Its got a $150 rebate bringing it to $899 at the Concord store. I plan on getting the adapter and streaming from my router (comcast broadband) and using a PS3 for blue-ray/games. Not doing cable TV or anything else.
it depends on the store but most have a feed for each island of tv's with a powered splitter so distortion is minimal the tv's are getting the feed from either coaxial cable or component rca cables.
it should be on sale till 9/11/11

Hope you like it! I bought my Samsung HDTV about 4 years ago and I have it on almost 24/7 with no complaint thus far.

Glad my suggestion helped

be careful with this one...ive heard about some stores playing around with the settings and setting the ones that havent been selling to look better then other TVs...if anything, have a sales rep adjust the settings of two comparable TVs and judge it from there

You missed out then, because the 70" Sharps were $1999 during Xmas

I just got my 55" Samsung LED 240Hz 3D for $1760 from Amazon not too long ago, looks like it is currently not too much more than that right now. Other than it being edge lit, it looks amazing.

Frys had the 55 D6500 on sale for $1300 a few weeks back and I would have gone with one of those, but they sold out.
