That's really where it's at. Many drivers use the steering wheel too aggressively as it is, and even more ratio would make things worse for them.

The real benefit of that tight of a rack is that you almost never have to remove your hands from the wheel or even cross your hands over except for super tight hairpins.

IMO this helps with consistency and smoothness in cornering. It's easier for me to train my muscle-memory to correlate a certain degree of arm movement with the specific reaction of the car than it is to remember how many times you have to turn the wheel and then try to stop in the same spot as last time in order to recreate that effect.
