So going to work this morning and getting on the Great Oaks on ramp to 85 who should I spot. 2 CHP officers standing there. One was just looking at the cars pulling up to the carpool light and the other issuing tickets. I'm sorry but that was funny. That's such a huge pet peeve of mine is carpool lane cheaters. I was so laughing at the guy he pulled over right at the light. After he pulled him over the officer saw me laughing, waved at me and smirked. I'm soooooo glad they are doing that this morning it’s about time. Just thought I'd share/warn.

a little hijack
i had a asswipe in a bmw 525 that comes flying in my rearview mirror, cuts over to the next lane, and proceeds to cut me off. i had contemplated the idea of not letting him over but i was too busy chatting with my gf at the time and just said forget it, it's no biggie. about 100 feet after he cuts me off, i noticed someone standing in his lane about another 50 yards up flagging him down.
a sfpd radar'ed him down hahah. owned.

When I've got my kids in their car seats, I always wonder how the CHP officer knows that I'm legitimate in the carpool. Because my tinted rear windows make it hard to see the kids and there's obviously no one riding shotgun. I also wonder how many people think I'm a tool because they think I'm alone.

the whole carpool lane rules are a little dumb. they are made to reduce pollution and reduce the amount of cars on the road. last time i checked children dont drive. how does having children under 16 in the car qualify for carpool? i know it would be too hard to enforce.. you have to pull over so many people and it would require much more man power. i dont know, just kind of a dumb rule i guess. i thing carpool lanes should not exist at all. they just take one lane away from the road during rush hour.

With kids and/or other people in the car, it cuts down on the emissions because the amount of emissions can be divided by the number of people in the car. More people in every car = less emissions, even if they can't drive.
**** solo drivers in the carpool lane.
**** people waiting until the last minute to bail out of a Fastrak lane. ****ERS!!

not a highway thing, but I really hate drivers who cant wait at a long left turn signal and go up the forward lane, only to cut off the poor sap at the front of the left turn lane
