HA-HA! Saw a cop rear-end someone this morning!
I was going through Niles Canyon from Fremont heading towards Plesanton, at the end of Niles Canyon is a stop sign that gets backed up really badly (like a couple hundred yards at least). The car in front of the car in front of me (two cars up) was a cop car, pretty sure it was a sherrif deputy... I wasn't really paying attention to anything, just slowly moving forward towards the backed up stop sign when I hear a loud "CRUNCH!", I look forward and see the cop pulling to the side of the road and the other car just frozen... it was some older person and they had no idea what to do... The cop had to direct the person over to the shoulder... The damage wasn't too bad, looked like the civilian car needed a new bumper from the battering ram of the cop car hitting it...
Ah, it was damn funny... The cop must have been soooo embarassed! You could tell that he was trying to play it off by being all serious but you know deep down he was like "Aaaaaah F***!!" hhahaha...
I have no idea how he managed to hit that car as we were pretty much stopped (stop sign backed up)... He must have given it too much gas on accident from not paying attention (prolly looking at his laptop) cuz there was quite a bit of damage for such a low speed collision...
The cop is lucky that the person was an older person (was a white guy around 55+ years old) because typically they have morals and don't sue for just anything like certain other people do (I wont mention who I'm referring to)... Older folks are usually really cool and honest for the most part, or at least this is what I've experianced in the past.
Anyway, I had to share... That made my day... I should have stopped and been a witness so the cop couldn't pull any funny business but I was already really late for work and I didn't want to get in trouble. A couple people had stopped anyway, but who knows what they are going to say they saw.
Cliff notes: Cop gets pwn3d for not paying attention to the road (rear-ends someone)

I hate that friggin stop sign... It's almost ALWAYS backed up... Sometimes I cut through sunol to cut some of that stop sign off but then I feel guilty like I'm cutting in front of everyone. Stupid morals!

About a year ago, same stop sign, I had a lady get out of her car because she said I was on her ***. I admit I tailgate but I don't usually do it going to work at 7am, I'm more of a cruiser, 4-5 car lengths behind. She got out of her car, walked up to me, I rolled down my window and then she just started yelling, haha. Then, she flipped out her wallet and said "you know I'm a cop, I can impound your car right now!" Thing is, it wasn't even a freaking badge. WTF.

My uncle was a cop for many years. Over the course of his career, he wrecked three cars. I'm sure there was some sort of talking to he got with each one, but it seems the most trouble came in the form of the nickname "Crash" and they made sure to give it to him pretty good at his retirement party.

1. She wasn't on duty
2. She can't stop you unless she's in a fully marked car
3. She had major road rage
4. Even if she was a cop, she couldn't impound your car for you "tailgating" her!
I would have talked soooo much crap to her, make that b**** cry at night before she goes to bed from insecurity that I fueled. HAHAHHA!

I still can't get over my friend who was pulled over for a ticket getting rear ended by the cop who was about to give him said ticket. Sadly, my friend had 1 foot out the door so his leg got bruised up pretty bad when his door closed on it. Worst part is that he still got the speeding ticket but the settlement from the police department after he sued them more than covered 3 years worth of tickets.
