this forum is full of guys interested in car so there must be a big chunk of you muscle heads in here.
what kind of programs are you guys doing?
how are your diets?
I'm on this program by Mark Rippetoe. It's concentrated on strength training contrasting to bodybuildling. i want to get into power training later on.
it goes by 2 days. day A and day B
day A: squat, deadlift, cleans
day B: squat, bench, military press
week1: mon=A wed=B fri=A
week2: mon=B wed=A fri=B
and you kinda get the picture.

I go 5-6 times a week, mostly lifting with a couple of cardio days.
I split my days like:
Chest + Tri's
Back + Bi's
Shoulders
Legs
With abs involved in every workout. Cardio is either running or doing things like Hurricanes and Crossfit workouts of the day. (Anybody else do crossfit? Great workouts)
I also keep my diet pretty tight now-a-days. I take in about 180g of protein and 300g of carbs in about 6 meals.
I've used just about every supplement money can buy. I'm down to just protein (whey soy and casein at different times) multivitamins, and creatine.

I've been training for the july sf marathon for about a month now but got side tracked because of surgery and getting sick. Now.. it's been about 3 weeks without going to the gym and my sickness doesn't seem to be getting any better.
I feel like $#%@ to say the least.

Do you actually use the DVDs or do you just memorize the exercises and do them? I tried doing the p90x when I started to get back into working out.. all i can say is.. you gotta be fit in order to keep up. Props to you for 16 days!

Been at it for 9 years now. Different workouts work for different people. For me I've found the one that works best for me and just stuck with it. I do variate daily to give my other muscles plenty of rest. I used to take supplements, but I no longer rely on them. I believe that one of the main keys to achieving your goal & perfect your body is proper eating and plenty of it. Quitting junk food was one of the most difficult things I did about 7 years ago and now my body no longer craves it. There are plenty of websites with chockfull of information, but one of the sites I'm on is bodybuilding.com. The forums there can also be quite helpful.

Hah, yeah I can see myself doing the same thing in my off time if I were in Iraq. A few of my military buddies get pretty big overseas as well.
I'm such a huge fan of fitness and that describes it. Everybody has different goals and different things help people reach those goals. Some people take better to resistance training and some people really get into free weights. Somebody trying to get lean is going to use their time differently from somebody who's after hypertrophy. And nothing feels as good as looking in the mirror and seeing results.
