Guy won GT-R for 55k on Ebay, and the dealer refused to sell him the car.

UPDATE: GT-R for $55,100? Dealer Says it Will Honor eBay Auction - WOT on Motor Trend

In the end with all the bad press that the stealership was getting, they decided to just give him the car.

That's what they get for not setting up a reserve price

what a bunch of crooks.
I cringe everytime I have to go to the stealership for anything, even a small gasket I dont want to wait 3 days for shipping.
Always ask if I want to trade my car in for the "new" '12 evo since it's "FASTAR" than my "old" '10 Evo. Fail

yeah this has happened a couple times I know of, there was a guy that bought one of those hyundai genesis coupes for below invoice right when they came out and they wouldnt sell it to him. Unfortunately for the buyers theres very little recourse, the most Ebay can do to get on your side is give them a negative for it or at worse cancel their Ebay account. It would be up to the buyer to take the dealership to civil court, probably not even in the same state, and hope the court would find an ebay auction is as legally binding as the big *** contract they make you sign at the dealership

At least this dealership stepped up, the dealership for the hyundai guy finally did too. Guess trying to get the story to go viral on car sites is the only way to get any justice.
