It's cheap... do you really want a cheap gun?

I was at the Shot Show in vegas last year, Hi-Points booth was a joke. I cocked back one of their 9's and the slide locked as it should, I hit the slide release and...it was stuck. I wrestled with it for a minute and gave up. It stayed stuck for the rest of the day. You would think one of the reps would care enough to fix it or replace it with another display gun, but...no. I'd never own a Hi-point unless they were giving them away. If you want a "cheap" gun I'd suggest getting a used gun.

I have a small collection that I have been working on...

Glock 17L
Sig P220Sport
Walther PPkS
S&W Model 19 classic
Beretta 87 Target
Springfield TRP operator x2
Benelli M1 Super 90 Tactical
Remington 700 7MM
Ruger 10/22 with mods
Remington 870
Chinese SKS with chrome lined barrel
ordering Sako TRG22 in .308

still saving for the Sako, but it's well worth it. Trying to get some single action army revlovers from a froend of mine, but he's not budging on them yet... haahha

HAHAHHA! That's funny... Same exact thing happened to me when I was playing with it. Only difference is mine had a dummy round in it. Took about 5 mins to get the sucker out.

Bought a Benelli Montefeltro 12-gauge Today

Well, I went into my local sporting goods shop looking for a decent shotgun and ended up with one of these in Satin Walnut.

http://www.benelliusa.com/firearms/montefeltro.tpl

I was looking for a all around gun that I could use for skeet and for a little bit of dove hunting. I had a very very old Remington and wanted a decent upgrade. I wanted something light weight because I have a bad shoulder and picking up the old Rem was like holding a Tank. Doctor says limited use for the next 3 months till it heals a little more so the lighter the better. They couldn't get the Ultralight ordered for a while so I got the Montefeltro in a 26" which weighs in at 6.9 lbs. I think I did good. I almost bought a Super Black Eagle II but, I couldn't justify the extra spend and it was about a 1/4 lb heavier. Also, I don't see when I would ever need to shoot 3.5" shells. I pick it up in ten days and plan on shooting some skeet in the next few weeks to get the hang of it.

Anyone else here shoot shotguns?

Bill

no, in most ranges that rent guns, you need to bring either another friend or another gun of your own?

reason? they want people to rent guns to TEST, not used to kill themselves.

reason is if you bring a friend, you are likely to NOT kill yourself.

if you have a gun already, why rent one to blow your head off...

silly... but it happens way too many times...

Nice, I like!

I wanted something all around that I could do everything with. I'll probably end up getting an 870 or a NovaPump for home defense a little later was well. You can't beat the 870 though.

This is the worst part about buying a gun. You buy it and then have to leave it at the store. All I can do is look at pictures of it.

that's why you have multiple firearms...

so while you wait for the ten 24-hour periods, you can go home and fondle the "older" ones while you make room for the new one in the safe...

what? was i the only one making make-believe fortification foxholes with couch pillows while watching THE UNIT last tuesday nite??????
