Fortunately, I have a 6870 for sale, unboxed. Interested? lol, ati 6870 is 175 I'll sell it to you flat without tax =P. I lose, you win. =D

Only reason I'm doing this is to end up grabbing a 6850, my bro has one, but has a mobo to support Xfire, so when I'm done with this 6850 I'll hand it off to him, and let him Xfire it.

Driver issues can cause the system to not see the second card. Just to be sure, after uninstalling the drivers remove the card and reinsert it with the POWER OFF.

Edit*
Just read the thread, did reinserting the card clear up the BSOD?

I don't think it's compatible with my motherboard

I think so. Haven't had a BSOD or freeze yet. But it's only been one day lol

sorry to hijack your thread :P
if you are using windows 7 you can just look at the event viewer. just look at the time it bsod, it will have an error code showing what triggered the bsod and you can just google the error.

back to original topic, everthing i would mention has allready been done swap cards, drivers, etc. only things else i can mention is it may be a dead PCI-E port, we just had one today with a dead port. might want to check that as well. and it could possible be the irq assingments, to test that just reflash your bios to standard settings. another way to check is to just put 1 video in the 2nd pci-e slot and see if it posts.

also what mobo are you on?
