GOTO 2nd Place at Infineon, 2nd in Drivers Championship

10/09/2005 Sonoma, CA- The US Touring Car Season wrapped up in dramatic fashion as Brian Lock drove the GOTO:Racing WRX to second place and it’s final podium of the season. Lock brought the fight to Dave Brown and Spoon one final time, in THE closest lead battle of the season.

Coming into this race, Lock had clinched 2nd Place and the A’Pex Integration Rookie of the Year title, while Brown had all but wrapped up the Driver’s Championship. A small chance still existed that if Brown failed to complete the race, Lock could be the next USTCC Champion. However, based on a history of strong finishes, Lock knew that chance was remote. “Of course we hope fortune favors us this weekend. Myself and the team have worked extremely hard this season for our results, and think we are very deserving of the title,” said Lock on Saturday, “But we are not focusing on points at all this weekend. We are focused on winning this race. We can’t lose second, so this weekend is all about pride.”

Damn nice finish. That Spoon DC5-R is also pretty impressive.
