that sucks it becoming an issue of profiling, but you're not following every rule... you have a catback....

i might be wrong, but i thought having a car over the decibal limit was illegal....

of course, if you got pulled over for bs, that sucks even more :\

Most cops know our cars are turbo and wont hassle us for an aftermarket bov.
now if you were in a lets say a honda w/ a bov/turbo..diff outcome.

sj

There are a shizload of cops on tully and on friday & saturday nights there are twice as many.

Question: DO you still have the STi WIng? I think thats one of the major reason why our cars get pulled over. SHoot I'm rocking my sti with 13 covered holes!!! When they popped open your hood what did they check for? What did they ticket you for?

I talked to my brother in law over the weekend about this. He's Fresno P.D. They've had some issues lately with street racing including some deaths. He was telling me how he just was in a street racing task force type class and what they were taught to look for.

They are getting somewhat smarter. They look for carb stickers and obviously modified parts...like front mount intercoolers and turbos in cars that shouldn't have them.

I told him how we've had some guys with pretty much stock cars pulled over and had their hood popped and what not. He said that big wings and big exhaust tips can be used as PROBABLE CAUSE to pull someone over and pop their hood....stock or not. They can just say they didn't know. He told me they don't care about cat backs unless your car is insanely loud which would make them think it's more than a cat back.

He could care less though. Too busy dealing with shootings and dead bodies.

most don't.

They get revenue from speeding californians.

Beyond that I don't think they factor tickets so heavily into their state budget. CHP is HUGE and growing every day.

i'm right around that area too and haven't been pulled over lately (knock on wood). It helps to have a stealthy exhaust, i was pulled over before for a bosal single tip. Shiny = attention, my **** is pretty loud though.
