Mann carried Total but stopped carrying it. They now sell OEM Subaru full synthetic oil, which I think would be nice to see numbers on as well. I just bought a 12qt case.

To be statistically significant:

1. Each oil should be tested three times, minimum.
2. Each sample of used oil must be accompanied by a sample of fresh oil from the same lot.

Three sounds reasonable to me too. One change means the motor will still have residual from the previous oil that was in there and that will definitely skew the results.

Thanks for posting this. I've been reading about these oil analysis programs for a few years now but have never really known anyone who has gone through the process. What were the cost and turnaround time?

kit is free cost is $25 and turn around is pretty quick..
