if you notice in the pics, both the driver and passenger have the seat lift up/down handle

since the driver side is on the right in japan, the right side seat has the lifter. Then I put the left seat mounted onto my stock seat mounts which also has the lifter

I'm still confused as to why you would even post this, let alone in Jeff's thread.

1. No plans to discontinue the Tarmac 2, it's been out for a very long time and we will continue to carry this model. In case you didn't notice the Tarmac 3 has been out for a couple years yet we still carry the Tarmac 2..

2. Defect? When has a Tarmac 2 wheel ever had a defect... that's a new one to me... Also if a wheel was to have a problem (slamming in to a curb/pothole is unfortunately not covered under warranty) we would certainly take care of our customer and not leave them hanging. Rota's customer support is very good.
