Got my $25 and a ride in a 2.5 GT!

Check out the Drive magazine you get in the mail from Subaru, there's an offer inside to go test out a 2005 Legacy or Outback and get a $25 Visa gift card in the mail. Well I took the 2.5T Legacy wagon out for a test drive yesterday at Ron Price and it has lots of power! A very peppy car, I tried out the shifting function of the 5-speed automatic and was impressed by how firmly the car shifts through the gears. The automatic shifts really well when it's in fully automatic mode but allows you to redline the engine when in Sportshift mode. The wood interior inside looks kinda cheap, but the leather feels good and the interior design is laid out well. Plus it has the redesigned momo steering wheel which feels good in ones hands. Good times

Yeah I got mine today - can't wait to go test drive (and get my money biatch!)
Man, if only they had brought the 05 Legacy GT a year earlier I might have gotten that instead of my WRX... <sigh>...

I checked out the GT wagon the other day, didn't have time to test drive it. now we have to decide GT wagon or Forester XT. damn tough choice.

it's gonna be the wife's car. so we got to sit down and look at all the factors: interior space, cost, how big the moonroofs are, if there is really an 05 FXT w/ manual, moonroof and leather. looks wise I think she will like the GT better. But I like the FXT.

the 2.5 turbo wagon was fun to drive, the suspension is a lot softer than my 02 wrx wagon and that could be good or bad depending on your perspective. it is definitely trying to be the luxury subaru and perhaps not doing so well considering what other luxury cars are out on the market. but it's still pretty sweet.
