Goodbye Bay Area Subaru Crew!

Goodbye everyone I've met, bought parts from, sold parts to, and drag raced with. My Subaru is getting sold and I'm going over to the dark side with a deposit on a white Scion xB. Automatic no less, a big change from a black manual wagon. So no more having a fast ride that can handle. Kind of sad, but at least the xB has an ipod connection for what it's worth .

Thanks to everyone in the Bay Area iclub, it's been a blast. Keep the rubber side down everybody!

Cheers, Alan

P.S. my wagon's up for sale...too bad the car didn't hold it's value very well. Anywho it's cheap and I have an ECUtek license attached to the car if you like that sort of thing (it's flashed to stock now). EnjoY!

You are going to hate life in about 2 weeks. I hate to say it, but that is one depressing car to drive.

Got a bad shoulder so shifting is hurting me (even with the short throw shifter it is tough). So an auto Box is in order. Frankly I haven't been driving the WRX much lately other than commuting -slowly- to work so the lack of power and handling won't be an issue. It's basically like my mom's toyota tercel, except cuter and with more room to stretch out. Going to miss the wagon though

I looked at the Fit too. Actually couldn't look at it as serramonte honda doesn't have any in stock and won't for at least a month. Which means markup on MSRP pricing, not good, plus I don't know if I can fit (no pun intended) in it. So no honda, and the nissan versa is too ugly. toyota yaris has roll-up windows (NO!!!) and is too small. a prius is too expensive, and every other car isn't fuel efficient.

Thank you for the awesome deal on the Stromung catback+3rd cat delete a while back. I am still rocking the setup(minus the 3rd cat delete).

Hey mcdrama....you put the 3rd cat back in? WHY? That setup was perfect, saw some great gains with it. Plus the sound, man I miss that.
BTW my car is up for sale, check it out in bay area classifieds if you're in the market for one!

the box is going to be great. The lack of power, I don't really care about anymore since my motorcycles put cars to shame. it's just going to be a commuter car/grocery getter/weird dumpster-looking thing.

Well, I never put it in, in the first place. I sold it to Killaho. Now I am buying it back and will try the "ultra kitty killer" setup for a bit(I have the 3" stromung DP). Stromung Turbo back baby!

Now I just need coated headers, uppipe, and hotside TD04, then will have ultra spool up.

Wow that's a whole bunch of exhaust side craziness! Thank goodness an intake and exhaust on the Box only makes about 3 extra horsepower, it will keep me from changing anything!! Plus it'll kill the good MPG.

man atleast you got something fun! a bike and a scion xb is not a bad package. the scion xb is the most comfortable car to drive in... i went to vegas about 3 years ago or so and wow that thing was fricken smooth. for what its worth, they arent bad cars, kinda ugly but they get the job done with good MPG.. and when you are bored.. just hop on the bike.
