Not North Beach but.... I recently went to Foreign Cinema and had a wonderful meal there with the gf.

If you get a later reservation (after the sun goes down) they play classic movies on their wall in their atrium. Really nice string lights arranged etc... they have those heat lamps too so you won't freeze.

We had:

Kumamoto oysters (FRIKKIN AWESOME!!! if your into oysters)

I had the duck which was great
Gf had the pork tenderloin which was good... but not as good as the duck.

We then closed off the night with some earl grey creme brulee which was simply amazing... you have to try it! I mean... brucelee - brulee spelling is almost there

Kinda pricey but nice setting and good service when we went.

(was under the assumption you were looking for a place for you and the wifey)

When I get put on the spot, I can never think of a place.

Il Contuccio in the mission is excellent Italian food...
