Thought I'd bump this rather them create another thread.
How good is Scientific Metal? Do they properly prep your wheels? Do they media blast all the paint off the wheels? Choice of colors?
I know I could just call them but since you have dealt with them I would like to hear your feedback about them.

Oh and Wheel Techniques. That place is over priced and use some ****ty paint. Dont know about their powder coating or hard anodizing.I had a set of wheels painted by them and they looked very good when I picked them up. A year later with only one trip to Tahoe and the paint was all pitted and chipped from the sand and small rocks. Garbage paint.
Hell my rattle can'd wheels have outlasted the professionally painted wheels.
Should have and gone back and had them look at the wheels after one year and use. Should of, could of but didn't. Fail on my part.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but where would be a good place to get wheels chemically dipped?

Called them and it was $65 per rim +tax and 1.5% "environmental fee" assuming in stock color. This doesn't include media blasting as they do not perform this service here.

TOP notch PC shop in Livermore. When you walk in the warehouse they have their walls lined with Coors light cans that they have Powder-coated every color they offer, pretty unique I think.
Give em a call.

Bc it's doesn't last. I painted my BBS. Sanded them all down, primered, painted and clear coated them. Paint has lasted about a year and a half or so and is starting to show wear and some chips from rocks. Rattle can paint in my opinion is too soft for use on wheels. Unless you some sort of industrial strength paint. But color options may be limited.

Ha well my tires rarely last a whole year, and I've got two sets of wheels so I rotate sets and spray one set while the other is on my car and on it goes...plus I can change colors anytime I want a lot easier too, and not have to worry about the effects of powdercoating wheels too many times

Papabear on here sands and paints wheels any color you like with high grade auto paint because he works at a body shop...$200 or so iirc...I was gonna go with him but I've been too busy to follow through
